Our brushes are Toray (synthetic orange), more nervous, much less fragile and also significantly less expensive than the marten.
Clean regularly after use with household soap and dry them with a towel by pulling from the base to the tip.
If you take care to maintain them properly (storage box or rigid carrier bag ... and avoid using them for acrylic achievements or the worst oil painting,) they will follow you a long time.
Attention also avoid leaving them to soak in water and especially hair down ...
